Our apartment is situated at the Admiralengracht. This canal lays in the middle of an area called De Baarsjes, a booming part of Amsterdam West. Since 10 years this is an upcoming neighboorhood, where artists, students, young families and people of all origin feel very much at home. In the buzy shopping street just around the corner you will find all kind of places: art studio's, two large supermarkets and shops of any kind. A new restaurant is opening doors almost every month. Don't forget to visit the Ten Kate-markt and the adjacent Foodhallen.

There are three parks in walking distance, under which the famous Vondelpark. The Erasmuspark and Rembrandtpark are also very nice.
