Room in brand new industrial houseboat

Last year we were able to fulfill a life-long dream. Designing and building our own custommade houseboat. Together with a pricewinning architect we realised what we feel is the most beautiful boat in Amsterdam, with one of the most spectacular views.
We love sharing the experience of living on the water with our guests.

The space
The beautiful light new room has an ensuite bathroom and kitchenette. The room has its own entrance aswell, so no shared spaces. You can enjoy a large outside space aswell with table and four chairs. From the room you can jump into the water (Yes we swim in the canals!).

Living on the water gives you a sense of relaxation. Everyday feels like a holiday living here. We swim every day right out of our living room. Also the sunlight bounced by the water gives amazing reflections on the walls and ceiling. At night you can see the beautiful lights of the city centre just sitting on the couch.
Although really close to the city center our street is nice and peaceful. Not to much traffic or tourist around, the kids can play outside under supervision. Right in front of the boat is a little foot and bike bridge which leads to a wonderful park, where you can lay down in de grass or enjoy a good coffee/breakfast/lunch/dinner at Pension Homeland. Or enjoy a beautiful meal at restaurant 'De Scheepskameel'. Only a two minute walk but very popular with locals so a reservation is a must. If you walk a little further west (about 15 minutes) you'll be at the central station, which leads to the mainstream shopping district.
