Private accommodation in City Centre, 1st floor

In our house we have this adorable bedroom with bathroom for rent. It is based in a lovely characteristic building in Amsterdam. It was build in 1785 as the National Navy School. The building is drenched in history, even the Dutch king Willem I and Napoleon Bonaparte spent time in here. It still has the beautiful original decorated ceilings and woodwork.

The room is located on the 1st floor (no steep stairs).

The space
This room and bathroom are completely private. It has a twin bed on a typical Dutch ''vide'' (an extra floor within a room) which gives a really fun, cosy experience to your stay, the room has enough closet space, WIFI. In the bathroom you find a shower and toilet. The room comes with a Nespresso machine and a water boiler for tea.

As you can see on the pictures this room still has its original reading cabinet and the gorgeous decorated ceiling from the 18th century.

We share the frontdoor

The apartment is located in a lively, nice neighborhood. Next to our building you find the canals, surrounded by some really good restaurants (Thai, Indonesian, tapas etc.) and a very good bakery for fresh bread. There are multiple places to enjoy a nice breakfast or a drink and there is a big supermarket. Central Station, Rembrandt square, Dam square and the Hermitage are all on short walking distance (10 minutes). Just around the corner of the apartment you find the Botanical Gardens, the lovely Waterloo market and the National Maritime Museum for example.

If you'd like to go out at night there are several bars and lounges in this neighborhood. On a ten minute walk you find Club Air and Club Abe, which are two popular big clubs.
