Modern

This compact apartment in De Baarsjes-Oud-West is ideal for solo travelers or couples who want a stylish, quiet base with easy access to Amsterdam’s center. The 1920s building has been modernized inside, offering a clean, functional space with a full kitchen, washer, and fast WiFi — perfect for longer stays or remote work. The neighborhood has transformed into a trendy hub with independent cafes, vintage shops, and local bars, giving you a more authentic, less touristy experience than the Canal Ring. With the tram or bus just steps away, you can reach Dam Square in about 10 minutes, or rent a bike to explore the city like a local. The host provides a first aid kit and smoke alarm for safety, and the apartment’s high guest rating (4.8/5 from 37 reviews) reflects consistent quality and value at around €100 per night.

De Baarsjes-Oud-West is a lively residential area just west of the city center, known for its early 20th-century architecture and recent wave of hip eateries, concept stores, and craft beer bars. It’s quieter than the tourist-packed Jordaan but still offers plenty of local charm, with Mercatorplein as the main square. Public transport connections are excellent: trams 7 and 17 run directly to Leidseplein and the city center in under 10 minutes, and bike paths lead everywhere. The neighborhood is also close to Vondelpark and the food market at Ten Katemarkt.
