Luxurious spacious suite Jordaan

Het Behouden Huis is located in the Jordaan, in the historical center of Amsterdam. In the 1980’s, many houses in the neighborhood were torn down. The owner of this house, by renovating singlehandedly, made sure this house was saved.

The space
Please note, We dont facilitate a kitchen anymore (becasue of a new BnB legislation) We still have a kettle, fridge and coffeemachine.
The luxurious suite has all you need. The inside part is cozy and romantic, with a garden view bath and a great shower. The bed is very comfortable and has a garden view as well. In the spring and summer you will enjoy the singing birds. We have a Bowers & Wilkens stereo with airplay to enjoy some music. You can have a seat in the garden to enjoy the bird sounds, a coffee or sit on the street side to have a chat with the neighbours. We have a Nespresso coffee-machine and thee. All in all a great way to enjoy your holidays!

The Jordaan is a very special place. Is was almost turned down in the 70/80s because of the ghetto status. Today its the most populair place to live, work and to visit. Its a small village in the middle of the city. No big streets or buildings, its all narrow. You find small cozy bars and restaurants. and you can walk for ages to explore the small and pretty streets. The fun thing is that people are not used to close their curtains, so if you are curious you can see a lot of interieurs from the streetside! The famous Anna Frank house is very nearby, you could almost see it from the apartment. The lovely Vondelparc, is a great way to picknick in the summer. You will see people running, rollerskating, running and enjoying there free time with a glass of wine.
