DESIGNER LOFT CITY CENTRE AMSTERDAM

This 200 m² designer loft in a converted 1906 schoolhouse is ideal for design-conscious families or groups of up to five seeking a spacious, quiet retreat with easy access to Amsterdam’s cultural highlights. Located in the vibrant De Baarsjes-Oud-West area, the loft blends historic character with modern luxury: think wood-burning fireplace, a large balcony, and a rooftop perfect for relaxing. The open-plan living area features an entresol, while the two main bedrooms and a toddler room ensure everyone has their own space. Amenities like board games, children’s dinnerware, and in-unit washer/dryer add practical comfort for longer stays. At around €629 per night, this is a premium option for those who value design, space, and a local vibe over a touristy hotel.

De Baarsjes-Oud-West is a lively, authentic Amsterdam district away from the busiest tourist crowds. Just steps from the loft, the Hallen complex offers a food hall with global cuisine, a cinema (Filmhallen), and a market. Nearby, Waterkant is a quirky bar in a former parking garage with exotic eats and canal views. For green spaces, Westerpark and Vondelpark are within walking distance, perfect for picnics or strolls. The area also has cute restaurants and coffee bars, plus easy tram access to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and Anne Frank House.
