Comfortable ground floor bedroom close to center

This ground-floor private room in Amsterdam's Bos en Lommer neighborhood offers a quiet, convenient base for couples or solo travelers who want easy access to the city center without the noise and high prices of the tourist core. The room is simply furnished but well-equipped, with a comfortable 160x200 cm bed, a bar/desk for eating or working, and thoughtful extras like a bathrobe, slippers, and complimentary coffee and tea. The shared bathroom and lack of a full kitchen keep it practical for short stays, while the lock on the bedroom door and carbon monoxide alarm add peace of mind. A standout perk is the option to rent two bikes for just €10 total per stay (plus a refundable deposit), making it a smart choice for active visitors who want to explore Amsterdam like a local. The area is residential and multicultural, with a supermarket, bakery, and casual eateries within a two-minute walk, and the city center is a 25-minute stroll or a quick 6-minute bike ride away. With a stellar 4.9/5 rating from 280 reviews, this rental is a reliable, budget-friendly option for travelers who prioritize cleanliness, comfort, and a host who goes the extra mile.

Bos en Lommer is a lively, multicultural residential area just west of Amsterdam's central canal ring. It's quieter than the tourist-packed Jordaan or De Pijp, but still well-connected: you can walk to Dam Square in about 25 minutes, or bike there in 6. The immediate streets around the rental have a supermarket, bakery, evening shop, and several restaurants and lunchrooms, so you won't need to go far for daily essentials. Trams and buses are also nearby for easy trips to other parts of the city. This area suits travelers who want a more local, less crowded base with good access to central attractions.
