Canal appt near city centre

The house is located along the canal in the West of Amsterdam. It's a 20 minute walk to the city center or 5 minutes by tram.

The space
The bedroom is small, but comfortable enough for 1 or 2 travelers and it has a beautiful view over the canal. There's a closet where you can store your clothes and luggage. In the room there are sheets and towels as well. In the summer months you can turn on the fan to keep yourself cool.

Guest access
You will have a private room with a beautiful view on the canal. The bathroom is next to your room and easily accessible. We don't rent our kitchen on Airbnb.

Other things to note
You will only share the apartment with me (the host), my girlfriend and two cats. You will have your own set of keys and the freedom to come and go whenever you like. But please be a bit quiet if you come home late from one of your night adventures.

The house is located at he canal in a really nice neighbourhood with a lot of bars, restaurants parks and other great spots to check out. For example the Hallen an old tram remise is changed in a food court. You can try a lot of different cuisines there, go to the cinema or visit the local shops.

It's a 30 minute walk to the city centre and Vondelpark is only 10 minutes away. If you are really adventurous you should rent a bicycle. It is really the best way to explore the city.

Here are a few good options for restaurants in our neighbourhood:

Van 't Spit (grilled chicken dishes) or Pazzi (pizza/pasta) in the Clercqstraat have very tasty food for a reasonable price.

Kien at the Witte de Withplein is a very special place with exceptional food and they really pay attention to flavours and details. A main course is around the 20 euro’s, but for me it felt like eating in a restaurant with stars.
