B&B room - green & bright!

This bright, simple room in a 1930s apartment in Amsterdam's Bos en Lommer neighborhood is ideal for independent, culture-minded travelers who prefer a calm base over a bustling hostel. The space is comfortable for one and snug for two (the bed is 1.40m x 1.90m), and the host greets you personally for a warm welcome. Standout amenities include board games, a coffee maker with drip and pour-over options, and luggage dropoff for flexible arrivals. With a 4.8/5 rating from nearly 300 reviews, this private room offers reliable quality for budget-conscious couples or solo explorers. The apartment is on a single level, and the host emphasizes flexibility with check-in and check-out, making trip planning easier. Note that the house is old and not soundproof, so light sleepers should pack earplugs.

Bos en Lommer is a rapidly evolving area on the border of Westerpark, blending quiet 1930s residential streets with a growing scene of barista coffee houses and eateries. The Kijkduinstraat location offers a calm living environment while keeping vibrant city life just 15 minutes away by tram. It's become a popular area for house hunters seeking a mix of local charm and easy access to central Amsterdam.
