Neighbourhood
Centrum-West is Amsterdam's historic core, packed with landmarks like the Royal Palace and the Bijenkorf department store. Despite being surrounded by tourist attractions, this pedestrian street stays calm — no cars or trams. You'll find small shops, a fine restaurant, and a mix of locals and visitors. The area dates to the 14th century, so expect narrow alleys and canal views just around the corner.
