2 bedroom 2 bathroom canal apartment

This two-bedroom, two-bathroom canal apartment in Amsterdam's De Baarsjes-Oud-West neighborhood is ideal for couples or small groups of up to four who want a comfortable, self-catering base with a local feel. The area is known for its relaxed, residential vibe with a growing selection of trendy bars and restaurants, offering a more authentic Amsterdam experience than the busy city center. The apartment features a dedicated workspace, a well-equipped kitchen with cooking basics and a coffee maker, plus in-unit washer and hair dryer—perfect for longer stays or remote work. While the guest rating of 4.2/5 from 27 reviews indicates a solid, no-frills stay, the canal-side location and single-level layout add convenience and charm. Note this is a private room in a bed and breakfast, so you'll have your own space but share some common areas. For trip planning, consider that the neighborhood is well-connected by tram to central attractions like the Anne Frank House and Jordaan, yet offers quieter evenings along the water.

De Baarsjes-Oud-West is a lively, up-and-coming district just west of Amsterdam's city center. You'll find a mix of multicultural eateries, cozy brown cafes, and boutique shops along streets like Jan van Galenstraat and the Mercatorplein. The area is well-served by trams (lines 7 and 13) and buses, making it easy to reach the Anne Frank House, Vondelpark, or the Nine Streets in under 15 minutes. It's a practical choice for travelers who want a quieter, more residential base with good local amenities and a canal-side setting.
