The space
On the entrance level you will find a spacious living kitchen with a large dining table. Big sliding doors connect to the terrace on the water side and some relaxing chairs. The large kitchen is fully equipped with a big fridge, freezer, (steam)oven, Quooker, KitchenAid and dish washer.

The floating home is part of a neighborhood that was completed in 2019, after a 10 years’ community development, initiated by the people who still live here today. Also the collective facilities, like the jetty’s and electricity/water grid, have been developed by the community.

All homes are built on sustainable and circular building principles; they are very well isolated, there are green roofs and collective gardens, lots of solar panels and solar collectors and every home has a heat pumps that extracts its heat from the surrounding surface water.

There are two innovative pilot project. A smart grid connects all homes, batteries and smart-grid-ready installations, with the objective to balance the demand and supply of electricity. The neighborhood also established a unique circular waste water pilot project. All toilets a
