The space
The house has six split levels, each connected with stairs of six steps. There is a lot of light inside.
First level has the entree, a toilet and a well equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave/hot-air oven and a gas stove with six burners. Next to the kitchen is the dining area with eight seats. In the dining area the sliding French doors give access to the garden, situated next to a small canal. There is good garden furniture and a parasol.
Bicycles are easy to rent at Central Station, only 5 minutes by bus away.
The second level has de living room. The flatscreen tv measures 0.80 m and also a DVD player is there to use.

This area has the best of both worlds: it is quiet, there is room to play, yet it is extreme close to the city center and the upcoming buzz of Amsterdam Noord. Previously this area was a bit of a wasteland, now the disused warehouses host creative start-ups, festivals, restaurants and, once a month, mega flea market. We name: The Eye Film Museum (10 minutes by bicycle), trendy restaurants like Pllek, Noorderlicht, de IJkantine and Hotel de Goudfazant and little cosy and affordable places like De Soepboer, Thai restaurant Pasoek and Italian restaurant San Remo.
Up north only 5 kilometers far away you will find yourself in the typical Dutch countryside called Waterland with beautiful authentic villages like Monnickendam, Broek in Waterland, Marken and Volendam. Open air museum de Zaanse Schans is only 10 kilometers away. It shows the way of living in the Netherlands during the last centuries in authentic buildings and windmills.
