The space
Upon arrival at the quay you can enter our jetty with an access code. You reach the jetty with a fixed staircase and our ship via a gangway. You walk through the gangway to the front of the ship where the guesthouse is located. Via a hatch and spiral staircase you enter the guest room which is the former sailors' residence of our ship. This was in use as such from 1951-2013 and converted into a luxury guest accommodation in 2020. Fall asleep to the lapping of the waves, ima

Neighbourhood
IJburg is one of the newest parts of Amsterdam and has been inhabited since 2002. It is an archipelago just outside the city. Easily accessible by tram, bicycle and car. Eventually there will be 6 islands but to date there are 4. These islands have been reclaimed and currently there are 2 more islands in the making. The islands have all amenities and are full of all kinds of urban development experiments. There is a pleasant marina with cafes, terraces and restaurants, there are numerous shops and supermarkets, on Saturdays there is a lively open air market and nature lovers can also indulge themselves in the nearby park and nature reserve. In summer there are various beaches and water sports such as windsurfing and sailing lessons are of course also part of this. In winter with good frost, you can ice skate in this area. Then there is also a lot to discover historically on IJburg, such as a 19th-century military defense of the Defense Line of Amsterdam and from the harbor the ferry se
