The Dutch Suites

The space
The building is rightfully part of the historic city centre in Amsterdam, being almost a 100 years old, built in iconic Amsterdam style. However, the inside of the building has been completely stripped and renovated in 2018.

The moment you step out of the house, you’re standing in the heart of the historic city centre of Amsterdam. This is the area where most of the city’s sights and attractions are to be found, such as the Dam Palace, museums, 9 Little Streets (9 Straatjes), and red light nightlife district.

The city centre is the most historic part of Amsterdam, so in this area you will find the famous Amsterdam canals and the typical houses lined along them. The iconic architecture, decorative lights and bridges make the city centre the most romantic part of the city.

If you walk to one end of the Slijkstraat, you will find the Nieuwmarkt: one of the most cosy (‘gezellige’) squares of the city, surrounded by restaurants, bars and terraces. Go fine dining in De Waag, walk further onto the Zeedijk street to find a tiny Chinatown with plenty Asian food, or walk 10 minutes more west to find the city’s best cocktails in Hiding in Plain Sight.
