Sweets hotel Gerben Wagenaarbrug

This unique serviced apartment is perfect for couples or solo travelers who want a memorable stay in Amsterdam Noord. Housed in a former bridge keeper's cottage on the Gerben Wagenaarbrug, it offers a quirky, colorful interior and panoramic views over the North Holland Canal. The apartment is the largest of the Sweets hotel bridge houses, with a separate living room, bedroom, and bathroom, making it feel spacious despite its compact footprint. It's an ideal stop for cyclists following the LF7 route, and the self-check-in with a smart lock adds convenience for late arrivals. The standout amenities are the city skyline and canal views from the windows, plus air conditioning for comfort. While there's no on-site parking, paid off-premises parking is available, and the apartment is a short walk from Amsterdam's favorite bars and cafés in Oud-Noord. Plan your trip around exploring the vibrant Noord district, then retreat to this colorful hideaway for a peaceful night overlooking the water.

Oud-Noord is a lively, up-and-coming area of Amsterdam that's become a hotspot for locals and visitors alike. The free ferry across the IJ river connects you to Amsterdam Central Station in just 6 minutes, and the new North-South metro line makes getting around even faster. But you might not want to leave the neighborhood: it's packed with trendy bars, cafés, and cultural spots like the Eye Filmmuseum and A'DAM Lookout. The bridge house sits right on the water, offering a peaceful base with easy access to the area's best attractions.
