The space
What I love most about my apartment is the high ceilings and natural light coming through the large windows. I renovated it when I moved in, but made sure to keep all the original features like the terrazzo granite floor in the lounge & kitchen and the wooden floors in the hallway and bedrooms.

Noord is like the Williamsburg of New York -industrial and historical at the same time, with lots of green spaces for a nice morning run/walk in the park.

PLLEK: built in converted containers on the NDSM wharf, overlooking the IJ river - great for drinks, meals and live music.
KLAPROOS: pizza and lasagna in old converted warehouse
Cafe Modern: good restaurant with excellent wine list
Kef: the best cheese and wine bar this side of the city
EYE: film museum and cinema, also great exhibitions and lovely cafe overlooking the water.
