Located in the Oostelijke Havengebied (East flank of Amsterdam). In the 19th century a port area was constructed in this area to accommodate the trade with the Dutch East Indies. It has many playgrounds for kids and its quiet, green and very close to the water IJ. Close (and easy accessible with public transportation to) to the city centre.

From the kitchen you can see the the water and the quay where the people on the boat from the Indies got off shore.
