The space
The apartment is located on the second floor of a typical Amsterdam building built in 1902, and while it was more recently renovated, it still retains some of its original features, such as the sliding doors. The front of the apartment, where the bedroom is located, has direct sunlight for most of the day, which can also be enjoyed from the French balcony. The neighborhood is Oosterparkbuurt, which is still up-and-coming therefore calm compared to the center of Amsterdam, but still is home to many lively bars (Bar Bukowsky, De Eeuwige Jeugd, and Louie Louie), nice restaurants (Wilde Zwijnen, Clos, 4850) and more low key places with tasty food and drinks (Bardita, La Cervecería, Pizza Oost). On sunny days it is nice to get an ice cream at Massimo Gelato and take a walk around Oosterpark or go to the dappermarkt, while on rainy days you can go visit the Trompen Museum.
