Next to one of the old spice mills "De Ster", you’ll find the former miller’s house, which has been redeveloped into two luxurious heritage studios at the lakeside (Ground floor studio & First Floor studio).

The space
Heritage lodge "De Karot" (35m2) is located on the first floor of the former miller's house. The lodge, with a magnificent view on the lake, is split into 2 independent units, both with their own private entrance. You can also rent both units (the units are connected with a locked and soundproof door).

The living area has a sofa bed (fits for two children or one adult), a small, but well-equipped (dining) kitchen and a glass door displaying windmill "De Ster". A roof terrace will be realized here in the future. The bathroom has floor heating, a shower, sink and toilet. The bedroom, with a double bed from Auping, overlooks the lake. The heritage lodges are situated in the middle of the Kralingse Bos (forest), a green oasis in the heart of the city of Rotterdam.

Right next to the lodge you’ll find a nice restaurant which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Kralingse Bos is a wonderful recreational area with all sorts of things to do. There’s for example a small beach, a sailing school, petting zoo, deer park, golf club and climbing park. And if you feel like popping into town, the centre of Rotterdam is just 3 metro stops away.
