If you walk out of the house and turn immediately to the left, you will end up on Jan Pieter Heijestraat. This is a street where you will find all kinds of nice stores, both for shopping and for buying good food and drinks. You can also enjoy a nice dinner, for example go to 'Café Lennep' on the waterfront, drink a beer at 'Gebrouwen door Vrouwen' or eat Thai food at the 'Golden Brown Bar'. If you go to the right on the Jan Pieter Heijestraat, from our street, and you walk it out, you arrive at the Overtoom (name of the street). Cross the street and you arrive at the Vondelpark. This is the largest city park in Amsterdam. You can walk around the park in about 50 minutes. It is also a great place to go for a run.
