Light, canal view apt w rooftop terrace in center

This top-floor apartment in Amsterdam's Oud-West neighborhood is ideal for a couple seeking a bright, canal-view stay with a private rooftop terrace. The space is flooded with natural light from large windows, offering scenic views of the Dutch sky and a classic Amsterdam canal. While the bedroom has curtains, they are not fully black-out, so light sleepers may want to bring an eye mask. The home includes a kitchen with cooking basics, a washer, and luggage drop-off for flexible arrivals. Guests can walk to Vondelpark, museums, and local eateries, with easy tram access to the city center. The hosts, a Dutch-French couple, provide a welcoming touch when they're away, making this a personal and well-equipped base for exploring Amsterdam's cultural and culinary scenes.

De Baarsjes - Oud-West is a lively, residential area west of Amsterdam's center, known for its mix of indie shops, global restaurants, and green spaces like Vondelpark. The apartment is along a quiet canal, yet within walking distance of museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh) and tram lines to Centraal Station. Locals frequent the Foodhallen for street food and the Ten Katemarkt for fresh produce. It's a practical, less touristy base with easy access to both city sights and local life.
