The space
The first thing you'll notice, after having climbed the three stairs, is the size of the apartment (which is in effect 94 m2), and the panoramic views of Amstel and the Opera building through the front windows.

The place is perfect for spending time indoors getting work done or relaxing, as there is ample space and privacy. At the same time, there is no better location to get to know the City with the old town and al

This corner of Amstel, next to Blauwbrug, was the historical entrance to the medieval city before the digging of the 17th century canals. Always busy and lively, it evolved into an important cultural and residential neighbourhood with some of the grandest canal houses.

Many cultural institutions are in the direct vicinity, such as Hermitage Museum, the house of Six at Amstel 218 (with Rembrandt's monumental painting of burgomaster Six), Opera/Ballet, Carré Theater and Kleine Komedie.

The best way to get around is on foot or bicycle.

Supermarkets can be found at Rembrandtplein in The Bank building and at Jodenbreestraat. At Waterlooplein is a branch of ecological food store Ekoplaza. The smaller shops are mostly around Utrechtsestraat.
