Houseboat in centre of Amsterdam

This houseboat offers a unique stay in Amsterdam's Centrum-Oost, ideal for small families or groups of up to four who want to be near the action but retreat to a quieter spot. The area has a family-friendly, local vibe with easy access to the Nieuwmarkt's bars and restaurants, yet it's only an 8-minute walk to Central Station and a short stroll to Dam Square. Standout amenities include a front garden for outdoor lounging, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and HDTV with DVD player. Note that pets and smoking are allowed, but the host advises it may not suit those with allergies due to pets on site. For trip planning, this base lets you explore central sights on foot while enjoying the novelty of canal-side living.

Centrum-Oost blends historic charm with residential calm, placing you within walking distance of Amsterdam's top attractions like the Nieuwmarkt, Red Light District, and Dam Square. The area is well-connected by tram and ferry, with Central Station just minutes away for day trips. Expect a mix of locals and visitors, with cozy cafes, markets, and canal views right outside your door.
