GREAT CANAL STUDIO, 15min centre, FREE PARKING

This ground-floor studio in IJburg offers a peaceful base for families or small groups wanting to explore Amsterdam without a car. The private entrance and separate space from the host's home give you real privacy, while the free on-site parking is a rare find in the city. The compact kitchenette handles breakfasts and light meals (no stove, per local rules), and the queen bed plus sofa bed sleep up to four. Board games, a garden view, and waterfront surroundings make it feel more like a calm residential retreat than a tourist hub — ideal if you prefer parks and playgrounds over crowded canals. Public transport is a two-minute walk, so the city centre is just 15 minutes away, but you'll also find supermarkets, bakeries, and a pharmacy right on your doorstep. The 5.0 rating from 162 reviews reflects consistent quality, and the host's attention to detail (children's dinnerware, room-darkening shades) shows they understand what travellers actually need.

IJburg and Zeeburgereiland form a modern, family-friendly district built on artificial islands, surrounded by water and green spaces. The immediate area is quiet and residential, with a supermarket, pharmacy, butcher, and bakeries all within a two-minute walk. A bus and tram stop is also two minutes away, connecting you to Amsterdam Centraal in about 15 minutes. A large park is five minutes from the door, and the waterfront setting offers pleasant walking routes. While the area lacks the historic charm of the canal belt, it provides a relaxed, local vibe with easy access to the city's attractions.
