The boat is situated on the edge of the city centre and de Pijp (the Pipe), one of the most popular districts of Amsterdam with lots of small shops, restaurants and bars. Cross the road, and walk through the passage of supermarket Albert Heijn and you're on Albert Cuyp Market. Visit the Heineken experience 150 meters further up the road. You can hop on a canal cruise on the corner of the street. Walk 150 meters further up the road and you're at Rijksmuseum (Rembrandt, van Meer and more Dutch masters of the 17th century), have a snack in the museum garden and enjoy the fountain. Then walk across Museumsquare to van Gogh Museum. Alternatively, cross the bridge and you're in the centre of the city with its beautiful canals and 17th century houses. Of course there are plenty of museums, shops, bars and restaurants to visit there too. Public transport links take you to all parts of Amsterdam within a few minutes. You couldn't be much more central than this spot!
