Generator - Private 4 bed Room

Generator Amsterdam's Private 4-Bed Room is perfect for small groups or families seeking a sociable yet private base in the city. Housed in a former zoological university, this design hostel blends historic character with modern comfort. The room sleeps up to four with two bunks, a lock on the door for security, and amenities like air conditioning and room-darkening shades for a good night's rest. Beyond the room, the hostel buzzes with unique spaces: an auditorium bar, a library, and even a basement nightclub. Guests can enjoy free WiFi, board games, and a ping-pong table, while practical perks like a washer, dryer, elevator, and luggage drop-off make longer stays easy. Located in Oud-Oost overlooking Oosterpark, it's a lively area with parks, cafes, and tram links to central museums and nightlife. At around €193 per night with a stellar 4.6 rating from nearly 900 reviews, this is a well-priced choice for travelers who want a fun, social atmosphere without sacrificing a private room.

Oud-Oost places you right between Amsterdam's vibrant Centrum and the greener Oost boroughs. The hostel overlooks Oosterpark, a sprawling English-style garden perfect for morning jogs or afternoon picnics. Trams and buses nearby whisk you to the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House, and Leidseplein nightlife in under 15 minutes. The area itself is a mix of multicultural eateries, indie shops, and quiet residential streets, offering a more local feel than the tourist-packed center. For a relaxed stay with easy access to everything, this neighborhood strikes an ideal balance.
