Generator - Private 4-bed Deluxe Room

Generator Amsterdam’s Private 4-bed Deluxe Room is ideal for small groups or families who want the social buzz of a hostel with the comfort of a private space. Located in the Oud-Oost neighborhood, this room sleeps four and offers more square footage than standard private rooms, plus air conditioning, room-darkening shades, and an en-suite bathroom. The hostel itself is a converted former zoological university, featuring an auditorium bar, a library lounge, and a basement nightclub, so you can enjoy both quiet downtime and lively nightlife under one roof. With a 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi, luggage drop-off, and bike rentals available, it’s a practical base for exploring Amsterdam’s museums, parks, and cultural hotspots. The 4.5-star guest rating from over 120 reviews reflects consistent quality, though the nightly price of €235 is on the higher side for a hostel private room—worth it for the design-forward vibe and prime location near Oosterpark.

Oud-Oost places you between Amsterdam’s Centrum and Oost boroughs, with Oosterpark’s scenic English garden right next door—perfect for morning jogs or picnics. The area is well-served by trams and buses, making it easy to reach the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House, and Leidseplein nightlife. You’ll find a mix of local cafes, ethnic eateries, and indie shops along the nearby Linnaeusstraat, plus the Dappermarkt for fresh produce and street food. It’s a lively, multicultural neighborhood that feels more local than touristy, yet is just a 10-minute tram ride from Central Station.
