Family room for 3 persons on a houseboat

This strikingly off-beat boat is probably the most photographed vessel on the Amstel River. Your hosts offer a nice guestroom, 1 double and 1 single bed, with a beautiful bathroom with tub and shower. At the end of the day you can escape the crowds and relax in the garden.
This guestroom is also a great place for (a) parent(s) with one or two kids!

Your host writes children’s books; she lives on this boat as well with her husband and 4 kids. They only rent out this space in spring and summer.

The space
The double bed in the guestroom is 160 by 200 cm, the single bed 90 by 200 cm and you have a private bathroom with a wonderful bath en shower.

There are facilities to make coffee and tea and there are also nice coffee/breakast companies in the neighbourhood.
Access to this room is directly from outside; the room has its own entrance.

When you look out of the window, you see restaurant George Marina at the other side of the Amstelriver. There are also several other nice restaurants, like tHuis aan de Amstel, where we can take you by our little boat with electric motor.
The location is a perfect start for a bike ride down the Amstel to Ouderkerk. The “Around the Amstel” cycle route is 17 kilometers long. While winding along the Amstel, you ride past farmsteads while overlooking the graceful curves of the river. You can stop at the Riekermolen (windmill) or visit the the Rembrandthoeve, a cheesefarm & clog factory. For a picknick you go to the Martin Luther Kingpark around the corner.
Easy access to the centre by tram, train or bike, it only takes about 15 minutes.
