Excellent Location

This private room in Amsterdam’s De Baarsjes-Oud-West neighborhood is ideal for solo travelers or couples who want a central base without the hotel price tag. The space is a spacious 25 m² lockable room on the second floor of a classic 100-year-old Amsterdam building—expect the steep, narrow staircase typical of the city. You’ll have your own bathroom and toilet, plus a small kitchenette area with a microwave, fridge, and coffee/tea setup for simple meals. There’s no TV, but free Wi-Fi keeps you connected, and the host greets you personally upon arrival. The room sleeps two adults comfortably, and amenities like an iron, hair dryer, and essentials add convenience for short stays. With a 4.6 rating from 169 reviews, past guests praise the location and cleanliness. Note: no elevator, so pack light if stairs are a concern.

The room sits on the lively Overtoom street, steps from Leidseplein and Amsterdam’s famous canal belt. Within a 10-minute walk, you can reach Museumplein (home to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum) or unwind in the sprawling Vondelpark. The area is packed with restaurants, cafes, and shops, making it easy to grab a bite or explore local nightlife. It’s a practical, walkable hub for sightseeing without the tourist crowds of the city center.
