Downtown - Spacious room with private terrace

Actually, I wanted to spend even more on each room, the furniture, the decoration and the many details... my husband and I just didn't seem to be on the same page. But I love my little hideaway in the middle of Amsterdam. Our neighbours in this place full of history are all native ones. Lawyers, midwives, judges, journalists and creative people live here close together - right in the city centre and yet away from the noise and bustle of the unbelievably many tourists.

The space
All the way to the top - via my beautiful staircase. The last - typically Dutch - steep staircase leads to the bedroom, bathroom and living room. If you want to do yoga right away - no problem - equipment is available. Here you can already see the small private terrace - great for warm summer nights and a good glass of vino. In front of the bathroom the stairs lead up even further - heavenly! There you will find the second bed, more books, games and a relax corner.

To the priva

Living by the canal - that is a dream for many. In the past, however, this was considered frowned upon and not classical enough. Therefore the canal was filled up around 16th century. A beautiful park in the middle of the city was created - and still is today. Large trees that provide shade in summer and absorb the sounds of the city.
I love the Cafe Slijterij Oosterling (50m from us). Open since 1877, this is probably one of the most authentic places in Amsterdam. Time seems to stand still here. If you are hungry, you can get delicious sandwiches, burgers, salads or freshly caught fish in the Brasserie Nel (400m). If you prefer self-catering and our shared kitchen, the supermarket is only 70m away.
