In essence De Pijp is an urban area demarcated by the beloved canals with at its center a green oasis, the most intensively visited park of Amsterdam, the Sarphatipark, which you will live right next to. It can be seen as one of the most authentic area of Amsterdam, where you can actually still encounter locals, who refer to it as the hippest area the city.
