Welcome to my house boat, located in the rapidly upcoming popular Amsterdam Noord area, just north of central station. A 15 minute walk (or 5 minute bike ride) from the Amsterdam tower, Central Station and the NDSM area. Surrounded by popular gems like "de Ceuvel", restaurant "de klaproos", Cinema "FC Hyena", "Monk"climbing hall, the "Van der Pek" street market, there is a lot of interesting stuff going on in the area. And yet, this floating sustainably built village is an oasis of tranquility in Amsterdam. Developed and built by its inhabitants these 30 houseboats form Europe's most sustainable floating neighborhood are home to 46 families in a tight knit community. Go for a swim outside, take the kayak for a ride, take a stroll in nearby Noorderpark, or take the bike up to the country side not far away.
