Vondelbuurt is a leafy, upscale pocket of Zuid wrapped around the sprawling Vondelpark—Amsterdam’s answer to Central Park. Cross the Overtoom and you’ll find quiet streets lined with grand 19th-century homes, the historic Hollandse Manege riding school, and the striking Gothic Vondelkerk. It’s a calm, green escape that’s still a short tram ride from Museumplein and Leidseplein, perfect for visitors who want a local, residential feel without sacrificing city access.
