While "Shisha Wonder Bar Two" at Lange Niezel 5 is permanently closed, visitors to Amsterdam can still experience the relaxed atmosphere and offerings of the Wonder Bar chain at its active locations: WonderBar Amsterdam (Nieuwendijk 3) and Wonder Lounge (Nieuwendijk 11). These establishments cater to those seeking a casual spot to unwind, enjoy shisha, and sip on a range of beverages in the heart of the city.

Expect a comfortable bar and pub-style setting, perfect for social gatherings or a laid-back evening. Beyond shisha, the bars offer a selection of foreign spirits, liqueurs, and hot drinks, alongside simple yet satisfying food options. You can find sandwiches, tostis, and even more substantial choices like a Dutch Snack Plate, Hamburger with fries, or Half a Chicken with fries and salad, with main courses ranging from €10.00 to €15.00.

WonderBar Amsterdam and Wonder Lounge are ideal for travellers looking for a relaxed, social environment to enjoy shisha and drinks, or a quick, casual bite to eat. Their central location makes them a convenient stop for a break from sightseeing, open from 9:00 AM daily, extending until 1:00 AM on most nights and 3:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Keep in mind that as of January 1, 2026, regulations in the Netherlands restrict the sale of vapes and refill packs to specialist tobacco shops.

Located on Nieuwendijk, these Wonder Bar establishments are just a short walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station. This prime position ensures excellent accessibility via Amsterdam's efficient public transport network, including trains, buses, and metro, making it easy to reach from anywhere in the city.
