This charming museum offers an authentic glimpse into 19th-century Texel life, showcasing historical furniture, utensils, and clothing. You can explore how islanders lived, cooked without electricity, and even read letters from a seaman's wife to her husband on VOC ships.

For public transport, the Texelhopper on-call bus can take you to the museum's vicinity and needs to be booked at least one hour in advance. Regular bus services also connect the ferry port to Den Burg.

Beyond its permanent collection, the Oudheidkamer regularly hosts changing exhibitions, workshops, and lectures, offering fresh perspectives on Texel's heritage.
