About this museum
Discover the compelling works of Dutch expressionist painter and sculptor Henk Chabot at the Chabot Museum, housed within a striking 1938 white villa in Rotterdam's Museumpark. This architectural gem, a highlight of the Nieuwe Bouwen era, provides a serene and homely atmosphere that perfectly complements Chabot's evocative paintings and sculptures, as well as works by his contemporaries and kindred spirits.
From April 12 to September 13, 2026, the museum features a special exhibition showcasing the nominees for the prestigious Hendrik Chabot Prize: Silvia B., Evelyn Taocheng Wang, and Anne Wenzel. This exhibition highlights the diverse and vibrant contemporary artistic practices within Rotterdam, with the award ceremony for the Hendrik Chabot Prize and other Rotterdam Art Prizes scheduled for April 21, 2026, at Rotterdam City Hall. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, remaining closed on Mondays.
Adult admission is €12, with discounts available for CJP holders (€6) and free entry for children.
